Youth Drop In Centre - Poplar River First Nation

The Drop-in Centre is a safe space for youth aged 13-29.  It offers free Wi-Fi and access to computers, pool table and ping-pong, a lounge area w/ large screen TV and movies, board games and library.

The facility’s shell was pre-fabricated in Winnipeg; shipped in panel sections via winter road to Poplar River with with cladding, windows & doors installed; and assembled on site on a helical pile foundation.

An indigenous artist was commissioned to create the front facade.  The artwork is screened on metal panels and installed as the exterior cladding of the building front.
